I've been reading the Lego subreddits again today. One of my favorite toy stories is how in 2023 they released an expensive set with an "exclusive" minifig of some Star Wars guy (sorry), and then scalpers fighting each other managed to take this one piece of plastic's value up to $350, so they re-released it as a $13 set and Lego fans started killing each other.
