Bug reports go HERE please, I have a small brain and cannot keep track of when they're sent over chat
Troubleshooting - How to change Java version: Right click on your instance in Prism Launcher, then hit Edit, then go to Settings. Press auto-detect and select 1.8.0.
- Java not detected: Press Browse and navigate to it manually; it should be in a location like C:/Program Files/Java/jre1.8.0_381/bin/javaw.exe.
Known Issues - Sorry that the tips mention Harambe.
- Logging in sometimes displays "Failed to login: null"; no fix found yet, just keep connecting
- Sometimes hangs on "atlas stitching"; no fix found yet, just restart the game
- Putting animals on a unicorn takes up both riding slots
- Custom banner patterns crash the game (no clue where to even start with fixing this)
- Need to fix XP bottling datapack
- Food completion achievement requires a blacklisted food
- King St. Bee won't sit her ass down

This is a placeholder post for when I get around to making the spreadsheet.
In the meantime you can post your personal houses or interesting locations here. Emphasis on can, if you'd rather your house be a secret that's OK too

Lore/RP general discussion |

As requested, a thread for talking about the lore.
A primer here.
Some loose thoughts I've had shaking around in the ol' noggin: - Not everyone wants to RP in chat. Not everyone wants to be OOC in chat. It would be nice to have a way to visually differentiate these. I would specifically like to have a separate ingame chat channel for RP, but that seems to be mainly a Spigot plugin thing, and we are not a Spigot server...blaaargghhghg. Until I can make any progress on this I think any serious RP is gonna have to wait because I can't break character every five minutes to do tech support.
- in the meantime I guess you could prefix with "IC:" or something if you need the clarification, I just want to avoid OOC brackets bc I don't want no-live-RP players to feel like they have to bracket everything
- Haven't done them in a while, but most of the really RP-y things I've done in the past have been holiday events
- Some canon characters that I'm probably gonna have to write about individually: Flavis, The Chicken Man, Squirby, Mayor Dinnerbone, Anvil
- The staple canon locations that usually get remade: Rainbow Corner, Sandcastle, Wither Mesa, Gay Commune, The Dig
- Nobody on the server knows what the paintings depict. Uh, I guess Feely and Chips probably recognize themselves, but who knows why they're depicted in ancient paintings

We need an obligatory injoke food mod, right? It's the fucking EggwareXYZ Minecraft server.
Some ideas I wrote down:
- Blaze Burger (typo of Blaze Burner)
- Entirety of Burger Burger menu
- Microplastics (joke stolen from feedthememes but it's stuck in my head)
- Popeyes Chicken Sandwich (
)

yeah yeah, he was forced to eat cement
That out of the way, Huck pointed out the Seals, a mod feature that lets you have a subtitle above your avatar based on what achievements you've gotten - you could be a Miner, a Crafter, etc. But she also rightfully pointed out that these requirements are ridiculously grindy. Take a look for yourself if you don't mind spoilers:
miner: minecraft:story/upgrade_tools
crafter: minecraft:story/upgrade_tools
audiophile: crucial:crucial/get_all_music_discs
backstabber: minecraft:nether/uneasy_alliance
breeder: minecraft:husbandry/bred_all_animals
concocted: minecraft:nether/all_potions
dedicated: minecraft:husbandry/obtain_netherite_hoe
dragonslayer: minecraft:end/kill_dragon
fortress: minecraft:nether/netherite_armor
globetrotter: minecraft:adventure/adventuring_time
glutton: minecraft:husbandry/balanced_diet
hero: minecraft:adventure/hero_of_the_village
hunter: minecraft:adventure/kill_all_mobs
marksman: minecraft:adventure/two_birds_one_arrow
returned: minecraft:adventure/totem_of_undying
sniper: minecraft:adventure/sniper_duel
suspended: minecraft:end/levitate
tater: crucial:crucial/get_tater
untouchable: minecraft:nether/return_to_sender
They're also, in my opinion, not very Eggware-y. That might not matter to you but it does to me.
So I am reaching out: based on the standard Minecraft advancements, or any interesting advancements within the pack, or even your own requirements if I can figure out how the fuck to make custom advancements, can you think of some fun or funny titles?

4 New Peeps Flavors |

Peeps has announced their new flavors for 2024:
- Peeps Rice Krispies Treats Flavored Marshmallow Chicks (Walmart exclusive)
- Peeps ICEE Blue Raspberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks (Target exclusive)
- Peeps Sour Strawberry Flavored Marshmallow Chicks (Kroger exclusive)
- Peeps Delights S’mores Graham Cracker Flavored Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Milk Chocolate
I have no Kroger stores in my area so I'm basically fucked, it's only a matter of time before I make a Harry Du Bois-tier spectacle of myself in public.
If you weren't around for the 2022 Peeps stream, I'd like to archive it (blog post?) at some point, but I think this drawing I did at the time sums it up best:

If you find the Sour Strawberry Peeps it is your moral obligation to tell me how they are. Especially because I don't know if Paula will allow me to do a Peeps 2024.

You may have spotted this unsightly thing within the past few days. What is it? How is it being held up in the air? The Mayor claims this will be The Bank, a place where anyone can store "their massive quantities of cobblestone, and probably other blocks, right?"
If you were on previous Eggcrafts you may remember that the organization of The Bank has always been its weak point - too much fucking running around. I thought long and hard about how I was going to handle it this time around. To tell you the truth I have decided to plan absolutely nothing except for vague ideas. There are so many new blocks and items, I couldn't even begin to guess what we will need more or less of. But the existence of Storage Crates (huge amount of mixed blocks) and Storage Vaults (huge amount of a single block) should make this trivial.
I've split the Bank into its four prominent quadrants: Tools, Items, Blocks, and Blocks 2. There is also a little extra space for whatever-the-hell. Overall it's much smaller, which I think is a good thing - it's a place to run in, grab a couple extra blocks for a build, and run out. I intend on using Nariko's mines for mass storage.
And, yes, in spite of its state, it is currently available for use. I just need to make a lot more chests... and item frames... Drop your excess goods off in the Storage Crate in the middle-back and I'll sort them once I've made more space.

Project: Underside Highway (The Nether) |

I don't have a map or any significant plans yet so this is pretty much a placeholder. I figured I'd list the current locations, though.
Locations - -79, 106: Nariko
- 0, 0: Center of the World (Nature's Compass)
- -690, -390: Unnamed badlands
Guidelines
Lore-wise, the Nether is being rehabilitated into a public transport system with a very tacky gift shop and some tourist attractions. I've tried imposing "please contact me before making a portal" but that has never worked out and I've come to accept that, so here are my simple guidelines that should hopefully keep things in line with my vision:
- Path to portal must be at Y 63 (portal itself can vary within reason)
- Path to portal must be as much of a straight line as possible
- Portal is placed to the SIDE of the path, so that the line can keep going
- Portal must not lead directly into someone's personal home
- If you do need a vanity portal, keep it off of Y 63 and expect it to be temporary
Future plans
Gonna need a lot of ice.
Feel free to list biomes or notable locations you would want easy access to.

Games That Come With Toys |

Thread for games that come with a physical accessory toy! First thing that comes to mind for a lot of people would be something like the Pokéwalker (which Is very cool) but I want to open this thread because I discovered a relatively obscure one in the used games store just the other day and I love what it's doing with the accesory, and I would love to hear about more stuff like this, especially other peoples' favorite touys.
So recently I went to a local used games store to see if they have any good games for me to download later discover casually and there were three washed-out copies of a game called "Wappy Dog", and my first thought was, oh shit! This looks like a cute Nintendogs-type game where you can take care of a silly robot puppy! Let me look it up to confirm that.
![[Image: wappydog.jpg]](https://i.postimg.cc/26GCK37L/wappydog.jpg)
So I did, and it gets better: it's both that AND one of those physical robot pet toys that became a mini-craze in the mid-late 2000s, mainly through iDog but I remember there being quite a few variations from different companies. I was crazy about the iDog growing up, though I never got one myself, since they were hard to find even back then and the prices for them nowadays are kind of meh.
![[Image: wappy_dog_nintendo_ds.jpg]](https://technabob.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/wappy_dog_nintendo_ds.jpg)
....So yeah as soon as I realized this was a thing I grabbed a Wappy Dog toy off of eBay for 20 bucks. No DS game came with it, but you don't even need a physical copy; the toy interacts with sound instead of through infrared or anything like that. ...Maybe you could even get the robot OR the ds game to work on its own by using just a video of the other...? Well, anyway.
The gameplay is really cute and consists of two modes; a "home mode" where you "talk" to Wappy though commands on the DS game and the robot talks back and moves around, and a "travel mode" where you do typical Nintendogs gameplay stuff, like feeding, playing and doing tricks.
![[Image: Wappy-Dog-Title.png]](https://tcrf.net/images/4/4a/Wappy-Dog-Title.png) ![[Image: c9b30719ead28bc1dc49e6d9c6fd93a8205bb0f1.gifv]](https://64.media.tumblr.com/07854734b521797044116bbbe7c19786/153a7397cef28ac0-72/s500x750/c9b30719ead28bc1dc49e6d9c6fd93a8205bb0f1.gifv)
I really recommend looking up some videos of the gameplay or even playing it yourself; it's a really cute game (and I'm pretty sure you don't even need the toy to play with the travel mode). I don't think it'll knock your socks off, especially playing it as an adult, but I really love the novelty and the attempt at combining two distinct kinds of virtual pet. It makes me wish someone would do more with this concept in the future, but that kind of depends on a lot of factors, mainly something like the DS ever coming out again (unlikely. the switch certainly doesn't really match the DS's vibe and appeals.) but for now, Wappy Dog is really neat and I'd love to hear about more stuff like it.
To close off, here's one of the Really good, extremely on-the-nose trailers for Wappy.
"I think he's great :-)"
